The roots of the Shea companies begin in 1881 with a small plumbing company started in Portland, Oregon. In the generations since, the Shea family of businesses has grown to include mega-infrastructure builder J.F. Shea Construction.
Shea’s Colorado presence begins in earnest in 1997 when more than 22,000 acres of land were acquired in Highlands Ranch, CO. A subsequent merger in 2006 added well-established business parks, Denver Tech Center, and the Meridian International Business Center. Importantly, the acquisition also infused Shea’s Colorado presence with a wealth of additional influential development and management expertise through retained leadership.
Presently, Shea Properties’ Colorado portfolio includes approximately two million square feet of commercial space and more than 2,000 apartments.
